There are millions of people that do not drink or drink very little, and you just have to find and befriend them.

For me, I isolated myself for the first thirty days until my fortitude to say no became iron-clad.

Using isolation to get stronger in order to resist the coming social pressure does have some advantages and disadvantages based on your personality.

Remove all the Old Alcoholic Beverages

If you keep a few bottles of your favorite alcoholic beverages at home, the temptation to drink again will be just too much to resist.

For me, I called few friends over to my place and served them all my favorite drinks. The gathering was a blast, and most did not even notice I was not drinking any of the alcoholic beverages been served.

The few remaining drinks I poured into the sink as a sign of my total freedom from the shackles of that poison.
